Adjusting to life as an ostomate may be challenging, but CANSA aims to provide the practical and emotional support you need, for you to live life to the full.
If you need stoma supplies, CANSA has made it even easier with the introduction of a dedicated WhatsApp line to facilitate orders.
Stoma (ostomy) supplies and accessories can be ordered and purchased nationally from the CANSA Pretoria Stoma Clinic – orders may be placed per email or our new WhatsApp line:
Quality Brands
CANSA stocks some of the biggest brands such as Coloplast, Convatec, Hollister, BBraun and Ligamed and guarantees affordable prices, professional assistance and speedy delivery.
Products and accessories include:

- products that maintain seals and prevent leakage
Medical Aid Clients
Medical aid and cash clients are catered for. CANSA motivates and obtains authorisation on behalf of ostomates from their medical aids for ostomy supplies and packages individual ostomy supply parcels for them. Courier services deliver stoma products to ostomates if necessary

Ostomates need to book an appointment with the Stoma Therapist who offers advice regarding lifestyle adaptation, skin care needs and practical application of stoma products at our local CANSA Care Centres offering stoma clinics*:

Free Stoma Counselling
CANSA also offers free pre- and post-operative stoma counselling. Advice is given to ostomates and family members to empower them to cope with living with a stoma day-to-day.
A free Tele Stoma service is available to clients who live too far from CANSA Care Centres, – an appointment is made with a stoma nurse, who will video call an ostomate and advise them regarding stoma care, or any other stoma related issues. This service may be requested by emailing info@cansa.org.za
Free Emotional Support
A supportive community is important – join other ostomates:
Join the Ostomate WhatsApp Support Group and connect with other ostomates by submitting the online form.
CANSA Survivors – Champions of Hope for cancer Survivors (patients / those in remission), which include ostomates, and loved ones – receive encouragement from fellow members and share your story.
CANSA Caring for the Caregivers for Caregivers of cancer Survivors (patients) – receive encouragement from fellow members and share your story.

Our free CANSA Tele or Virtual Counselling service is available to ostomates and loved ones in most SA languages and provides individuals with emotional support as they adapt to a new way of living.
Donated Stoma Products and Accessories
Thanks to a partnership with Footprints 2 Africa, CANSA is able to provide free stoma products to cancer patients in need. Please note that while the donated stock itself is free, courier fees will apply for items that need to be sent via courier services, and that limited stock is available...
- All requests must be submitted via email to Puledi Nakeng, email: stomapta2@cansa.org.za
- Requests for donated stock will only be attended to on Tuesdays and Fridays (expect a turnaround time of 48hrs - work days - from receipt of email)
- Please include at least two options for the required stock items
- Courier charges will apply - once the stock has been arranged, proof of payment must be sent to stomapta2@cansa.org.za

Your donations enable free services, for example, CANSA Tele and Virtual counselling in most SA languages by trained counsellors, support groups (face-to-face; WhatsApp and FBK); guidance from our Clinical Nurses regarding coping with the side effects of cancer,
cancer treatment, dietary tips, stoma care and pain management – enquire at info@cansa.org.za; our Advocacy department assists patients experiencing stock shortages, delays in screening and cancer treatment, and lack of access to appropriate pain management medications; transport to and from cancer treatment centres is provided to our cancer patients staying at CANSA Care Homes, who would otherwise live too far away to receive treatment. Children and teens with cancer and their parents / guardians stay at our CANSA TLC Lodges for free during treatment. Our two TLC wig banks for children / teens provide free wigs to those in need.
