Plettenberg Bay Property November 2016 No Images? Click here ![]() Plett Property Review2015 saw R867million worth of property sales in Plettenberg Bay. Overall, the market remained relatively constant over the past seven years, but there has been considerable improvement over the past couple of years. There was a ±8% increase in average prices from 2015 to 2016. The fact that the 2016 average is the highest average in Plett’s history suggests that the market has recovered from the downturn. Sales volumes and total value of all transfers in 2015 were up 15% from the previous year. The average price in Plett for residential property in 2016 so far is R2,3million (R2,8m for full title including vacant land and R1,4m for sectional title units). Over the past ten years, which includes the crash, average prices in Plettenberg Bay have grown annually roughly in line with inflation. Looking further back to 15 to 20 years, the annual growth increases to ±11% per annum. 2015 was a record year for Sotheby’s International Realty Plett, and we passed that record earlier in 2016. A big thank you to all our clients that made this possible.
